Russell Pell - PARTNER
Russell has 20 years of strategic and operational consulting experience, and 10 years in industry management roles. He has worked across sectors including energy, advanced materials and manufacturing, specialty chemicals, transport, infrastructure and corporate services. He is trusted by board level executives to work with them on a range of strategic initiatives and acquisitions, and enable their organisations to make the changes necessary to achieve competitive advantage. His operations background, and strategy and transformation skills, uniquely enable him to advise clients on effective ways to realise value within their organisations.
Prior to founding GXS Partners, Russell held partner roles in major firms, including Managing Partner for Greater China at Arthur D. Little, and Vice President at Capgemini Consulting. He has spent the last 10 years working in Asia Pacific, including China, Hong Kong SAR, and South East Asia, on top of extensive global experience including in UK/Europe, Middle East and India.
Russell holds a Bachelor of Engineering honours degree in Biochemical Engineering from University College, London.
Lilian Wang – ASSOCIATE PARTNER
Lillian has over 30 years of experience in operations and management consulting, predominantly in China, as well as the US. She specialises in growth strategies and their implementation, with a focus on operational excellence, supply chain management, and product development. She has worked across manufacturing and high tech industries devising effective transformation programmes to deliver organisational and process change. She combines her experience and knowledge of industry within China, with her global transformation experience.
Prior to GXS Partners, Lillian has held senior consulting and industry roles including as VP for supply for a Chinese healthcare business, VP of operations in high tech, and Partner in PwC Greater China working with a range of MNCs and local clients on supply chain management, operation strategy and execution, and product innovation. Lillian is based in Shanghai, and holds an MS degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas, and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
WILLIAM HAHN - DIRECTOR
William advises clients on a range of strategic areas, including market entry and growth strategies for China and Asia, as well as as risk and mitigation plans. He has led multiple engagements across strategy and operations consulting, as well as commercial and IPO due diligence. A very capable consulting leader, he has worked with a wide range of clients across Asia, with experience in China, Hong Kong SAR, South East Asia as well as the Middle East. His sector experience includes energy and utilities, chemicals, automotive, manufacturing, advanced materials as well as building and construction. Prior to joining GXS Partners, William was a director at a multinational risk and investigations consultancy. He is fully professionally proficient in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese, as well as speaking conversational Japanese and Spanish and is learning Cantonese.
William holds a Bachelors in East Asian Studies from Yale University and a Masters in Ethics from the University of Chicago.
